- Cross the wide blade over the narrow tail, with about 12" of the blade longer than the tail.
- Bring the blade up under the tail to the collar.
- Bring the blade back down over and then under the tail.
- Bring the blade behind the knot and pull it through the top of the neck loop.
- Bring the blade across the front of the knot.
- Pull the blade through the bottom of the neck loop.
- Pull the blade through the front of the knot and adjust until the knot is fully symmetrical.
