Integration Engineer (Chicago, IL)

Who you are:
You are a passionate Software Engineer who shares our scrappy nature, and is excited to identify and build software solutions that enable our growth.

Job requirements:
  • 3+ years of work experience integrating enterprise systems (Ex: ERP, Retail-POS, Analytical or any Cloud/SaaS Application) using Web/Windows Services and/or Restful API
  • Because this role is heavily focused on integrating with our home-grown ecommerce platform with other systems, you must have experience creating and consuming restful and web services, ETL tools and scripting with more system design and architectural principles some analytical capabilities.
  • Experience pulling data from multiple sources, consuming Rest / SOAP / or other 3rd party APIs, and pushing data through API’s
  • Ability to collaborate with a high-performing team, sharing your ideas and engaging in team discussions to find the optimal solution
  • Exposure to different ETL tools, Relational and Analytical Databases preferred
Our Technology Stack:
  • Home grown ecommerce platform developed using ASP.NET MVC using C#, Hangfire, EF6.1, React.js, html5, css3 and jQuery
  • To power and host our ecommerce platform we are making use of Amazon Web Services - Elastic Beanstalk, RDS SQL Server, Elasticache using Redis, S3 and Cloudfront technologies
  • Other platforms and enterprise systems include Netsuite(ERP), Vend(POS), AWS Redshift(Datawarehouse), Segment(Web Analytics), Amazon Sellar Central, Newgistics(3PL) but not limited to these and widely open

Accessories Merchant (Chicago, IL)

About the role:
As the Accessories Merchant at The Tie Bar, you will bring high taste level and strong understanding of our brand aesthetic, as well as an ability to dig into the details of our historic and current selling to meaningfully inform how to assort each season and new collection. You must be someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys juggling multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong point of view and taste level for men’s accessories in order to interpret seasonal trends for our customer, manage the design process, and effectively assort the product line
  • Work hand-in-hand with our suppliers and manufacturers overseas as a production liason - ensuring designs are executed properly, deadlines are met, samples are received, and inventory arrives on time
  • Communicate daily with our technical designer to build and iterate on our industry leading neckwear and accessories
  • Become a category expert: understand the competitive environment, proactively seek technical product knowledge and research trends
  • In collaboration with Planning, position inventory investments to ensure that smart risks are being taken, basic businesses are protected and financial targets of sales, gross margin, and inventory goals are met
  • Work with Marketing team to outline seasonal product stories that will be messaged in marketing materials, store visuals, site visuals, and more
  • Partner with Wholesale to ensure we are addressing market needs with our product offering and to facilitate private label production
  • Empower Customer Service and Store Sales Associates with product knowledge and information regarding upcoming collections or partnerships
Job requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of retail merchandising experience (preferably e-commerce)
  • Excitement to be on the front lines of a fast-paced and growing team in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment
  • An innate taste level and eye for style, with an ability to understand our customer and create a vision for product assorting that fits his needs and is consistent with our brand ethos

Digital Marketing Analyst (Chicago, IL)

About the role:
The digital marketing role will report into the VP of Marketing. He/she will be responsible for helping drive The Tie Bar’s digital marketing spend. This is a highly analytical role but also requires the ability to execute and have end-to-end ownership: from coming up with the strategy, to overseeing the implementation and creative development, to analyzing and interpreting the results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive new customer growth through digital marketing channels including paid search, paid social, email and affiliate
  • Daily and weekly tracking to meet paid digital channel KPIs through optimization of creative
  • Planning of digital ad campaigns, segmentation of groups and project management of creative
  • Collaborate with content team on creative and copy, and make recommendations with the team to drive campaign performance
  • Constant analysis of all channels, ensuring we are optimizing and changing based on learnings week to week
  • Introduce new digital marketing channels through test & learn strategy
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of KPIs, and optimization of channels to maximize ROI
Job requirements:
  • 4+ years experience in digital marketing, analytics or ecommerce
  • Interest in eCommerce, fashion, or retail
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Highly organized and the ability to juggle lots of tasks simultaneously, can work independently when needed but also collaborates well with multiple different teams
  • Innovative, forward-thinking, and self-starting mentality – must be able to take ownership and deliver results with little oversight
  • Previous experience with tools like Google Analytics, Lookr, Tableau is preferred but not essential
