Inventory Planning Analyst

Inventory Planning Analyst

The Inventory Planning Analyst will report to the Director of Operations and is responsible for a variety of projects and processes that help ensure our product is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantities. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual who is comfortable dealing with large data sets to optimize and manage retail inventory. They should possess excellent project management and communication skills, as they will serve as a key liaison between the operations, merchandising, store, and marketing teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an analytical and puzzle solving mindset who wants to intersect a passion for eCommerce and fashion with analytics and project management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own SKU inventory management minimizing out of stocks
  • Formulate in-depth inventory forecasts across product types
  • Manage and allocate inventory to store(s)
  • Assist in Open-To-Buy process
  • Drive ad-hoc hind-sighting analysis focusing on profitability and maximizing sales
  • Work directly with 3PL ensuring no interruption to inventory flow

We’re a small, entrepreneurial team with big ambition.  We are looking for a like minded, ambitious candidate for our Stylist role to serve as an ambassador to The Tie Bar brand.

Serving our customers has been our number #1 priority since day one. The Position:

As a Store Stylist you will be the authority on style, quality, and service. 


  • Driving business by providing first-class customer experiences while supporting the operations needs of the storefront. 
  •  Provide consistent personalized service to every customer to meet their individual needs
  •  Reach and exceed all metric based goals, including sales targets, AOV and conversion • Build strong, positive relationships with all customers
  •   Maintain product knowledge, fabrics, inventory, promotions, and sales
  • Maintains a positive, professional work environment
  •  Provide feedback, ideas, and new initiatives to corporate partners


 Key Requirements:


  • Passion for menswear possesses a love for product that translates to customers and brings the brand to life through on trend styling, visual inspiration, and personalized product recommendations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit ‐ He/she has a roll‐up‐their‐sleeves attitude and can come up with innovative ideas to drive the business
  • Delivers exceptional customer experiences ‐ loves to engage with customers to create a highly memorable and positive interaction with our brand
  • Strong selling skills and experience within retail
  •  Customer service oriented with a natural desire to care for the needs of others
  •  Strong problem-solving ability coupled with excellent time management and organizational skills
  •  Ability to take the initiative


  • 1-2 years in fashion retail, with inherent and polished abilities to multitask on projects and work with multiple customers at one time
  • Positive and adaptable attitude
  • Available to work weekends
  • Chicago-based position.
